Warren/Yovanoff Family Updates 2024

Quinn is Four and Rory is Two!

Quinn finished out her two years at Forest School with a fun summer playing in the urban forest of Griffith Park! She has learned all about native tree and plant species and can navigate the trails in Griffith with ease. It was sad to part ways with her friends but luckily a few of them also attend her new elementary school.

For her birthday, Quinn planned a small party at home with a scavenger hunt and some craft projects. She was a perfect host and had the time of her life at the party.

Rory attended parent and me classes at Forest School through the summer and we made some nice child and adult friends. Her favorite activities include painting, clay and of course the mud kitchen. She even showed off some of her knife skills while helping prepare snacks for all the kids.

July birthdays are perfect for swimming so we held Rory’s party at Grandma and Grandpa’s house and ate bagels and cupcakes

“Intangible Time” at Billis Williams Gallery

I (Lindsey) had my third solo show with Billis Williams Gallery in June with paintings depicting scenes around the Mt. Washington neighborhood where we live. Completing the work for this exhibition was one of the most challenging things I have ever done with most of the work being completed at night and on the weekends. I am very proud of the paintings I made for this show, they were some of my most ambitious and personal in terms of the spaces they describe. The reception was so much fun and I was thrilled to see many friends and family members who attended the event.

I also participated in the summer “Cityscape” show at Billis Williams and it was a fantastic opportunity to display my work alongside other Los Angeles artists with similar sensibilities. The opening event for that show is one of my favorite events every year as I get to see artist friends from around the city and state.
